Out of Northern part of France- Lille, comes a newer act, named Nirnaeth. They were formed back in January 2002, and exists as a quartet formation, lead by guitar player and main author - Mutill. As they said in own press materials, they founded inspiration in opus of acts as a : King Diamond, Kreator, Judas Priest,, Immortal, Lord Belial, Dark Throne, Mayhem, Death, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel. Judging by their style, band covered a therithory of black/death metal.

Before and after a realization of debut DEMO, they performed a lot, and I also must notice, that band did a respectable promotional marketing, cos' reviews of their issue found place in more web zines. Band also participated in compilation "Into A Black Circle". "Nothing But Ashes" is an EP with 4 tracks in, pretty similiar atmospheres, and what is more important, similiar energies.

If we speak about black side of their approach, we could say that band equally accepted influences of old and new school. I also have to notice, that productional work is untipical for that sort of issue and goes outside genre's circles, but production itself, isn' t finally unsucessfull. A complete material lasted little more than 16 minutes, and in my opinion, a better track than other 3 is a "Black Horde". Band is in process looking for a label, who will possible realize their new materials.
